East Toowoomba Motel
Our East Toowoomba location is close to the city, just a five minute drive where you will find a bustling city centre, home to a number of attractions including the Cobb N Co Museum. This is an essential viewing for Aussie transport history buffs. The museum also runs a variety of heritage workshops which is perfect for families, with one to five day workshops that are suitable for beginners right through to experts. Also, some of Toowoomba’s best scones can also be found at the Cobb’s Coffee Shop.
While eating out may have been pioneered by Cobb and Co (who remembers those pepper steaks and chicken parmiagana) Toowoomba’s dining scene is a burgeoning cauldron of new and happy flavours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be an exciting pastime if you let it. Breakfast can be magical at the Bakers Duck; the home of artisan sourdough bread and pastries with Queenslands best coffee. Don’t let the hipster facade fool you. These guys make breakfast great. You can find the Bakers Duck at 124 Campbell Street; a five minutes drive but worth every mouthful.
The Spotted Cow is a local favourite — a family-owned pub that has regular live gigs, tasty food, and a 20 beer list on tap and a total list of over 70 beers from all over the world. They also have a good range of wine too. Choose from five separately themed bars; the Oropa Bar, Jersey Bar, Bull Bar, Friesian Room and The Lounge. It might be more accurate to say variations on a theme, but who’s counting.
